Nurse ‘took explicit photos of vulnerable elderly patients and porn photos of girl, 2


A nurse took explicit photos of 17 elderly and vulnerable patients, as well as a pornographic shot of a two year-old girl, police say. Ashley Ann Smith, 30, reportedly targeted residents at the Kane McKeesport Community Living Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she worked as a licensed practical nurse. Her snaps, taken between May 2017 and August 2018, reportedly show elderly people in various states of undress, with others ‘in need of immediate care and in private situations.’ A video she allegedly shot is said to show a naked patient undergoing an intimate medical procedure, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. Smith is said to have sent 20 photos of 17 patients to former co-worker Ron Whittaker, 36, who is also the father of her child. He reported the snaps to hospital bosses, who informed police.
